When I first say this piece, I was speechless. It is such a minimalistic design but still conveys a huge message relating to the event. Looking at all aspects of the photo I believe this is the most stunning, original and well executed photo you have ever taken. I could see the vision you had and how you were going to convey the message you wanted to deliver. Also, I have to admit the architecture style of the window is pretty cool and it would be hard not taking photo of it with the light pouring in in such a way.
Along with vision, the originality of this piece is spot on as I have never seen a single repeat or similar photo to this. Sure there is probably another one out there but none will compare! There really isn't much left to say, fantastic job!
Repeatedly, I am always pounding on people for proper technique however, I see nothing wrong in terms of contrast, levels or even the lighting (though again, would have loved if it was possible to see this at sunset). The colors are all within the same grey tone and grey blue family. With that the natural light gives off deep and profound shadows that provide contrast to the bright sky.
Although the piece is simple and has little complexity to it's overall appearance the meaning and depth to the emotional side reaches the hearts of the viewers. It is one of those rare pieces that you come across and cannot stop looking at, it just draws you in. The basic design lets viewers (especially those who maybe were living at the time of WWII) make their own story out of the piece, making it special and personal to them.
To conclude, the photo has a quiet elegance that enables the viewer to enter the past. I really just have to say Bravo! I know I have seen an amazing piece of art when the artists leaves me feeling something and you did just that. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
